Course description
This course provides insight into new research on the functions of formulaic language for children's language acquisition, particularly their second language acquisition. Theoretical aspects of integrational approaches to language learning, characteristics of emergent grammar, usage patterns and the more fundamental question of what a collocation really is will be discussed (please see abstracts below).
